On the scrounge for skiing stuff
My company's Christmas party is 3 days in Cervinia (nice eh?) but I don't have any skiing stuff.
Has anyone got some they can lend me, I'm in the Slough area, 6' tall and a 15st fat ba$tard and I need the padded dungaree things, a decent jacket, goggles, gloves. Many Thanks Gary |
The trouser things are called sallopetes, iirc.
Sports soccer in Slough do them round this time of year, but you got to dodge the chavs when your in there. Sport Crest in the Observatory do some Ski stuff. Hope that helps. |
TK Max do some cheap ski gear, failing that ebay?
or you may be able to hire. |
Buy your own gloves, hat and socks. Rent the rest when you get there.

Decathlon do cheap, good quality ski wear.
|
Tchibo (I think that's how its spelt) do very cheap ski gear (there is one in Richmond, not far from you)
e.g. Gloves for less than £10, trousers £30 etc etc. The quality is actually pretty good, probably not the same as the brand names but good enough for 3 days! Also Trespass @ Milton Keynes Snowdome (Xscape) is pretty cheap and good quality ~ Jackets £50 - £100. But a bit of a trek unless your passing. |
There a tchibo in slough, near the inside opening to M&S, where that cofee place is, inside the Queensmere.
|
Go to Costco, got some good stuff last week.
Head breathable gloves a tenner, Bolle goggles £15, Trespass jacket and salopettes, £20 and £18 |
But it cheap, flog it on Ebay when you get back!
