C'etait une Rendezvous

Anyone seen this?

Borrowed the DVD off a friend and watched it last night. It was shot in the 70's and is allegedly an unknown driver in a Ferrari

There are conspiracy theories about how fast he is going and whether the film was sped up, sound dubbed etc. but its certainly a unique bit of footage that could never be replicated in today's traffic!

Edit: some clips at http://www.bentleypublishers.com/vid...us.preview.htm

Nice try but the fact you mentioned it once in passing in a thread before is too tenuous. :D It certainly hasn't been "discussed" before!

Its definately interesting and unique.... although I'm not sure 9 mins of footage justifies the price!

Maybe I could do a Portishead version.... ;)

chaos. 13 December 2004 03:11 PM

no it wasnt my dads car, it was a 205 gti, f*cking animal on roundabouts, did the same in my dads car and it was fine..

ajm 13 December 2004 03:12 PM

1) Who's car was it?
2) Where's the footage?

:D

chaos. 13 December 2004 03:20 PM

Theres no video if thats what you're after, my mate has the piccies, it was his car afterall ..

Need to get them so I can scan them in.

I have some footage taken from my M3 on the M5 to M4 East slip road designed to highlight that, despite signs to the contrary, 50mph isn't actually the maximum safe speed for that corner at all! ;)

I may release it sometime in the future when the Conservatives get back in and declare a speeding amnesty! ;) :D

chaos. 13 December 2004 03:30 PM

I LOVE M3s wow, esp E46 with SMG :o

I'd write it off in no time at all .. ;) :D

Won't be seeing that any time soon then. For two reasons:

1) They won't get back in
2) Even if they did, to declare a speeding amnesty would mean they have to come to a decision on a policy - not likely the way they are going at the moment ;)

Hope this helps, :D :D :D

Is this 9 minutes long with the camera on the front of a Ferrari 275 GTB? Id heard that it was the director driving.....

That's the one. THere is loads of speculation about who was driving, what the car is etc. but as far as I know he remains tight lipped on the whole thing!

You'd think someone would remember him doing it though... especially the person that has to sprint out of the middle of the road as he comes through! :D
