A message from JW Racing

Hi everyone

Please note that this is not a vote for sympathy or an excuse, I just thought it needed mentioning to people who might be wondering what is going on.

Firstly please let me start with an apology.

We have not been able to be in the office as often as usual at the moment, as we had our first baby on Monday 8th November, Scott was born at 6.49am and weighed in at 7lbs 3 oz, but unfortunately he developed pneumonia due to related feeding problems and is in Hospital, so most of our time is spent there looking after him, as you can imagine.

If you do not get as quick replies to emails and phone calls, this is why. We are able to return people’s calls, if we are not imeadiately available and also reply to all our mails, but I thought it only decent to let you all know what was happening.

Orders and enquiries are being processed as usual and we are trying to get on with things as normal, so please be confident of that.

I wont lie to you, we have been set back with this problem, in fact the whole of 2004 has had one run of bad luck after the other, what with £10K worth of credit card fraud, etc, but as you might imagine if you have kids yourselves, this is far worse, but I am trying to get there and handle the situation the best I can.

All orders, emails, phone calls, refunds etc, are being dealt with as fast as they can be, and nothing is being overlooked.

Please don’t worry JW Racing are still here and offering the highest quality goods with the highest level of service, but please continue your support at a time when it is needed most and appreciated more than ever.

Please just bare with us on this one...

Jamie

I know exactly where you are coming from. We lost £3.5k last month and have just had two notifications saying we are getting chargebacked for a further £1.5 and £1.4k.

Thats £6k straight out of my pocket in the last two months alone.

Mail order companies should start a data base of fraud and share the info. We should do it, we really should :)

bren@apex 23 November 2004 02:26 AM

And the reason why Im wide awake at 2.22am is because we've just caught a pair of scrotes trying to nick our Impreza :(

the better half 23 November 2004 06:46 AM

Good luck with Scott, hope he gets well real soon

Hope everything gets sorted.

Another vote for top service from a top bloke

Jamie Whitfield 23 November 2004 12:53 PM

Thanks everyone, the little fella has been allowed home today, and we just have to take him to the RVI in Newcastle for some endoscopies which is good news, poor little man has to be fed from an NG tube for a while though, but the main thing he is ok. Hopefully the test reults will show that his pneumonia has gone completely and his feeding problem will just be a matter of time before it fixes itself.

Bren - bad luck mate, but to be honest, this ordeal has made me forget all about the fraud, I'm sure next year will be a good one!

So it's back to a little normality, I am busy picking up mails, orders, refunds, chasing up deliveries, same s*** different day etc etc, lol ;) but at least it feels good to be back in the office and knowing that Scott is only a few feet away and happy just to be home! :)

Trem 23 November 2004 12:58 PM

In all honesty Jamie, your service will still be better than 99% of the other internet business's even if you stay out the office for a week.

Babies are tough little critters, they handle stuff better than us grown ups sometimes.

Excellent news hes back home.

Jamie Whitfield 23 November 2004 01:02 PM

LOL thanks Trem! :)

robinH20MRV 23 November 2004 10:31 PM

best wishes for you all,

cheers robin.

muddy 24 November 2004 12:49 AM

Mine and Mrs Muddy's thoughts are with you both.
