Lowest mileage classic?
Hi all,
I'd be interested to know how has the lowest mileage classic turbo. I think I bagged a good un in this respect: Genuine 15k. (MY99) Anyone got lower? Best |
speak with TedEd
he has a MY00 turbo (1999 he had it) done about 13.5k miles in the 5 years!!!drives it like a wuzz too ;) running about 272bhp... and its not been over 100mph in years! lol |
is that good or bad? Cuz it means the engine spent most of its life sitting.

Whats the point in having a car you dont drive ??
Might as well get a taxi and save the depreciation and servicing costs ;) |
That's very true Matt.
Mine is v near 16K now after a month! :-) I don't think I'll rack up anywhere near the average annual milage for a year, as I only use it as a play thing and for weekend travel. Not worried about depreciation; the classics have pretty much already suffered the biggest hit. At the moment it's a case of riding out the: "loads about, some of which are cheap fast cars" stage untill the good one's acheive rarity status. In about 5 years I can see a mint low miler fetching a packet! Not that I'd sell mine anyway!!!! :-) Best. |

i got a 94 clasic from japan and its done 45k ... 25,000m ish?
its like new inside and out. |
I bought my MY00 Wagon with 32k on it in Feb. It's got 42k on it now. I love driving and she's my driving slut :D
|
Just put a deposit on a STi Type R MY99 .... 1 Jap owner, about 9k on the clock with history. Pick it up in 2 weeks. :)
Bought my99 UK Turbo last december with 27,500 miles, 1 owner.... it has 61K on the clock now :( J :) |
When I got my car 6 months ago, fresh from japan, it had just turned 10 years old and had 50k miles on the clock, thats 5000 miles per year. Since then, even though I spent 1 month away, I have put more than 10k miles on it :D

Unit 1 year ago my MY99 Sti V RA V Ltd had covered just 8,250 miles!!! It had never been out in the rain and was showroom condition!!! Now 1 year on an it has covered 17K (with a recent 1K round trip to Scotland which has done more good than bad as its give it a good clear out). Car is still in pristine condition and is running superb but dares come out in the rain now!

Ive got a 97 classic wagon 28000 miles full service history with minor mods
|
yeh, i have to believe that there are more clocked cars coming from japan than most think. I know its expensive to run a car over there and that there are congestion charges etc and strict mots etc but some of the figures they gives take the piss. A lot of jap cars have paint before they come over to cover accident damage.
I have based my opinion on the many auctions i have been too and the vast amount jap classics i have seen. - and i have one!

on the other had mine 160 odd k on the clock.......... but some of that is km's so it's really about 125 miles now. |
I think that you should aim this question to most people who live in Norfolk as their cars never seem to venture far - they all stop at the Norfolk borders for some reason. :p
|
My brothers MY00 has approx 20k on the clock, my MY00 has 52k!!
|
my previous car an MY00 (with every bit of Prodrive kit they do on it)has just covered 14k genuine miles and is up for sale
