Was thinking the same thing! :)

jipstar 02 October 2004 02:12 PM

The Quater of a million pounds were spent on:
The Monster 900BHP motor twin turbo that it has under the hood
FULL Carbon fiber interior
2000 watt pioneer speakers
Navigation system (costs 2000 pounds with e-mail, etc etc...)
Engine chip
Brembo drilled braking kit

+ the car's performance is built by CUSCO
Cusco suspension, flywheel, L.S.D, fuel management system, Air intake system, boosts etc...

Now you believe me?

The car was imported direct from Japan!!!

FASTER MIKE!! 02 October 2004 02:22 PM

got any putcure of under the bonnet and the interior?

mike:)

drb5 02 October 2004 03:02 PM

can i have it please?

seriously, truly awesome motor that deserves praise! i was gonna fit them decals to the ra as well:D!

AndyC_772 03 October 2004 10:18 AM

LOL :D Love the way you say '900bhp monster twin turbo' - and then 'engine chip'.

Somehow I'd have thought the original ECU would struggle to run a 900bhp engine on its standard map :D :D :D

What's the engine based on, then? I'm not aware of a single component of the EJ2x series that wouldn't need replacing at that level.

siwrx 03 October 2004 11:54 AM

Are you sure it was 250k? seems quite high as the car is worth say 12 max, the body kit and stickers will be no more than 1500, carbon interior will be about 2.5k (I have lots of carbon interior stuff now and its not that pricey ) and a 500 bhp engine from one of the australian tuners would only be 15k. Even with the extra power I can't see it costing more than about 60-70k

So are you saying you own Cusco's own demo car? Or are you showing us Cusco's demo car?

TopBanana 03 October 2004 12:07 PM

Quarter of a million lira sounds more likely

sarasquares 03 October 2004 01:25 PM

sorry but that isnt a 250k car, no way lol, maybe 25k

ZIPPY 03 October 2004 06:28 PM

He said it was $250 not £'s so thats around £125k, i've seen a 'P' plate rally car valued @ £100k, well used, yes its an ex Prodrive car but its still big money.

The one previous carefull owner was Carlos Sainz.

We all tend to add a bit onto figures, i think he is guilty of doing a bit of this.

Jay m A 03 October 2004 07:16 PM

Could be Ozzy $ which means less than £100k

fuz 03 October 2004 07:23 PM

could be greek

what a bargain :D

*Sonic* 03 October 2004 07:23 PM

not sure what the purpose of going with full carbon fibre interior etc

and then adding about 100kg of speakers :D

chrome 03 October 2004 08:39 PM

the words, 'pointless' and 'feckin' spring to mind :)
I'd have the car sans speakers tho :D

Yea, looks like ALOT of CUSCO effort... That's a Cusco demo car... NOT your car. Seeing how it has Japanes plates on it too...

Honestly I don't really believe you seeing as you sent me a private message asking me where I bought this and that and saying you had a Red Mica Subaru...

Remember, we're all Europeans now, so if it was Greek it would be Euro's :)

http://www.subaruhk.com/subaru/image..._impreza_2.jpg

could be HK dollars, suggested by the website subaruhk? that'll make the car round about £25,000

scoobyboy1 04 October 2004 08:30 PM

For that much money could at least change the orange side repeaters.
