If that is really 345bhp at the wheels then it certainly is a beast, a g-force conversion is not cheap and they are guaranteed big power, the price seems high but buying a new then spending all that cash to get it that kind of power would make no sense

andy ;)

gatty 15 September 2004 10:27 PM

aint to bad a price, try buying a new one and then doing a g force stage 3 etc.. its only done 5k???

the next buyer is getting a lot of care hastle free

steve_g 15 September 2004 11:41 PM

You should see the classic scooby on autotrader then:

£63,000!!!!?? :eek2: :eek2:

Jay m A 16 September 2004 10:03 AM

Its a Wagon too, which I assume he's changed virtually all the drivetrain to do 345 ATW.

Very stealthy, I'm sure theres been a few requests for a T25 wagon - this is pretty much it!

ozzy 16 September 2004 10:38 AM

Since when did unofficial modifications actually add value to a 2nd-hand car?

I expect the G-Force conversion isn't cheap, but as a buyer I wouldn't expect to pay for it - fitted new by a Dealer yes, but not as a 2nd owner.

Stefan

Gutmann pug 16 September 2004 10:46 AM

Some of these mods cost £15K dont they? I remember reading about them in EVO.
I have a feeling if you spent £15K on engine mods 5,000 miles ago you would have every right to think you might get some of the value back. Even if you didnt manage it you would certainly have a go at it, I know I would.

ozzy 16 September 2004 11:05 AM

Yeah, I suppose.

Boyakasha 16 September 2004 11:49 AM

Problem is that it is wasted money as it was the wrong base spec. What's the point getting a UK car then blowing the warranty on the mods, better to have saved a few thousand and got a euro import STi or even better a Spec C which with a remap and exhaust is good for 330bhp and would be quicker due to being so light.

The Fixer 16 September 2004 12:31 PM

To be hoped he's put the STi 6 speed in there because the WRX will not hold that type of power for long ;)

G-Force 400 BHP conversion ATF is circa £10K iirc :D

From the pictures it looks like the latest APS DR500 front mount intercooler and an APS SR40 turbo, no doubt it will be running GEMS ECU as well :D

He would be better to put it back to standard and sell all the bits and get at least 50% of the parts prices back just like I did with my STi 8 :(

bigsinky 16 September 2004 01:43 PM

a 400bhp conversion for £10k. fook me if it was that price whay are we not all at G force. i know how much my conversion cost and it was a helluva lot more than £10K

cheers

sinky

The Fixer 17 September 2004 08:34 PM

400BHP can be had much cheaper than 10k ;)

jonny gav 17 September 2004 10:07 PM

400bhp can be had for 4k

if you think that price is high look at the rs's, standard k reg escorts with 70k miles are going for up to 18k!!!

total madness!

GRIFF007 18 September 2004 11:22 AM

Go Julian Go !!

Keep yer eye on all the For Sale - Parts forums on here, Group buy forum too, and EBay.

Jonny probably PM'd you with what your silver super shed needs to do 300, 350, even 400 bhp ... each level needs major changes and supporting mods...

Sort the next meet and we can talk ... if you get saving!

PS working on the garage day/meet!

PPS - I got your corner mate! ;)

julian N/W wrx my93 19 September 2004 07:58 PM

i will sort out the next meet in a bit!

thought you'd pop your head in this!

LOL

No worries mate, if you buy the bits I'll help you fit them.

Jonny helped me once or twice with advice!

What power / torque are you after?

! :eek2:

julian N/W wrx my93 19 September 2004 08:21 PM

just more........

but got to do the clutch first!

-=Buzz=- 19 September 2004 08:50 PM

erm.... it's 25k, not 28...

So it's about the same price as a new STI with PPP and it's got more power....

What's the problem here? Remind me...

It's been reduced mate. I've just looked at the ad and it says it's 7 hours old. I'm sure when i looked yesterday it was something like 46 days old.

The powers been reduced as well as the price, LOL you don't sell cars down the pub

IbbyE 20 September 2004 03:19 PM

Not sure any of it was right at first. I mean how can u write
"The car has covered 5,000 careful miles from new."

then

"goes like the wind and holds the road like glue and makes wonderful sound once on the open road!!!"

And from what i can remember my dyno test didnt sound that careful.

NotoriousREV 20 September 2004 06:58 PM

Thats not as bad as the guy trying to sell a 93 WRX on Cliosport.net for £9000 just because it has 19's and a facelift front. For nine grand I'd be looking at STi's, ta very much.

The Fixer 20 September 2004 07:01 PM

Still at £25K its still expensive, I assume its an import wagon £16K ish, plus G-Force £10,995 conversion? Seems like he wants new car price plus all the mods he has bought :D
