if you liked alien or predator

out of respect dont watch this film.

go and buy a cheap copy of the market, that way it will cost less than the price of a ticket to the flicks, and you can bin it after watching it, "like i did"

jamo :D

+Doc+ 14 August 2004 10:02 AM

I knew they would cock it up, should have had Cameron on the job ;)

allywrx 14 August 2004 01:30 PM

Speaking of v's films, did they ever make an airwolf v's bluethunder film
One of my mates said they did and another said they didn't :)

Never heard of that one but if they ever did it would be no competition - Airwolf is far superior :D

Simon.

Aaquil 14 August 2004 07:22 PM

Blue thunder looked mean but Airwolf was well hard and would cane blue thunder. 'String Fellow whatever his name...' was much cooler than the other guy as well. Did he ever find his brother?

String Fellow Hawke was the daddy played by Jan-Micheal Vincent. Yes he did find his brother (Sinjin). He in drugs rehabilitation now. How there was only ever two series I dont know - fave show as a kid.

Interesting fact - he was one of the favourites to play Hooper in Jaws which was eventually played by Richard Dreyfuss.

Simon.

P.S. Ive just found DVDs of the TV show for sale on ebay - oh yes!

Well at least If I watch it home I can hide behind the sofa Dr Who style when alien is onscreen.

I am twenty nine year old bloke and even now I am still $hit scared of the alien!

I always prefered the shape of Blue thunder, it looked meaner than airwolf IMHO. I think it was just a dressed up AH-1 Cobra.

Airwolf on the other hand looks like Anika Rice is about to pop out of it!

Is that cos it ripped you in half in the second film?? ;)

BishopDevious 15 August 2004 12:51 PM

If ripped means that I hid behind my coat while watching it in the cinema to the amusement of my gf...

thats a yes!

FASTER MIKE!! 15 August 2004 01:30 PM

I think that Blue Thunder was based on a Gazelle, sounded like it! A Cobra doesn't have a fenestrom tail for a start :)

Airwolf was based on a Bell 222, and of course would easily kick the arse of Blue Thunder as it could do about 1000 mph  :) :) :)

I'll get my coat now then............

:) :) :)

Thunder would have it in the twisties! And Airwolf still looks like Anika Rice would pop out any second.

I will set up a poll to settle this one.

StickyMicky 15 August 2004 04:13 PM

airwolf looks like its made of carbon :D

Sbradley 15 August 2004 09:06 PM

Cider Boy is right - Blue Thunder was based on a Gazelle with about 200kg of fibreglass panels bolted on. Ironically, though, much of the technology they talked about is now coming onstream, and though 'whisper mode' is a far off dream I have flown stuff which has an acoustic signature of about 1/10 that of a Gazelle...

Airwolf on the other hand was pure and unadulterated tosh.

Blue Thunder gets my vote, here and on the poll :)

I've got Alien vs Predator and it is a bit of a let down unfortunatly :(
And on the Airwolf/Blue Thunder thing my Dad made the inside blades for Blue Thunder when he worked at Westland Helicopters in Bletchley Milton Keynes ;):D Nice piece of useless info for all you Blue Thunder fans lol.

New To Scoob 16 August 2004 09:12 PM

Read alien vs predator in the graphic novel (comic book :D ) version years ago and it was actually pretty good, but from what I'm hearing the film seems a dud what a shame :(

BlkKnight 02 September 2004 03:19 PM

damn site better than chronicles of riddoch

not a good film tho - about 2 1/2 *

what made me chuckle was at the beginning when they find the abandoned hole (which would have taken them days to drill) - on one goes:

"hangon that's a bit convienient, perhaps someting slightly dodgey is going on here"

Ending was pants very Alien2 & Predator2 rolled into one.

did anyone think it was short?
