Got my first Scooby yesterday. Whats all the fuss about http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I was grinning all the way down the M1. Even hitting the traffic on the M25 at 5.30pm couldn't wipe the smile off my face.

I just love the "Bright" button!!! What a great idea.

Can't wait to run her in now.

It will with

the thieves
the fuel costs
insurance
boy racers
STi's over taking you

only joking, great car great fun

enjoy !

Hos 13 July 2000 01:11 PM

I agree, I do not know where i would be without my bright button on the car http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

BarryK 13 July 2000 01:16 PM

Oh, God! Wait till you get the "clutch judder when cold", "squealing brakes", "cracking brake discs", "hunting around when cold", "crap paintwork problems", "which wax do I use", "what oil", "should I reset the ECU", "is SUL worth it".

I assume you have an MY00 std UK motah.

Whining (of the diffs) aside, you'll never look back. Unless you're reversing!

Welcome aboard! See you at Northern Meet 4 24th September.

davidw 13 July 2000 01:51 PM

BarryK,

The car is a UK spec car sourced from Holland. 555 blue mica, lovely http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

I actually live in West Sussex so I doubt I'll get to see you at any Northern meets unless I'm in the area.

I bought the car from Auto Tecnica in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, (Thanks to Steve Cox...top bloke.) hence the excursion up north.

I know this is a bit rude, but I'm looking to import one myself, I don't suppose you'd be willing to share a few more details (eg how much did it cost !, how long did you have to wait !, was it an all inclusive service, any probs ?)

Thanks in advance

Gary

Gary,

Check your mail. I've sent you some info.

Glad that you finally picked up your car David, did you get your uk handbook in the end?? happy motoring!!!!!

Tony

davidw 13 July 2000 03:43 PM

Tony,

I've not got the handbook yet although Bell and Colvill said they would be happy to supply it. I'll probably pick one up at the first service. They are also happy to service the car for me too http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Gatwick Subaru is my closest dealer so I might try them as well although I can't find their details on the Subaru UK website.

Mojo 13 July 2000 04:51 PM

David,

Why didn't you get a handbook from Auto Tecnica when you picked up the car? Did Steve Cox give a reason?, as I'm sure they have said they come with English handbooks.

Mojo
