fcd numbers?
 
ive fitted a hks fcd earlier today but i got a jap book with it and i was wondering wat the nmbers stand for on the control? 1-12 12 being norm?

Yes 12 being normal fuel cut , then if you turn it down one number at a time it will slowly raise the fuel cut limit . Turn it down until the fuel cut is just below the boost you want to be running and then turn it down one more number and this should put the cut just above the target boost if you just set it to 1 then you will have no fuel cut protection.

If you are raising the boost over standard it is advisable to fit a Knocklink as you can run the risk of Engine Detonation ;)

is there still risk of det at 1 bar?

DET can be the result of an accumulation of problems - High inlet temps, too much ignition advance, inadequate fuelling, low fuel octane are just a few so for piece of mind the Knocklink is a good indication to show DET so preventative action can be taken before the engine 'grenades' itself.
Raising the boost pressure creates more heat in the charge so with the addition of other factors can result in DET. ;)
