Purely Hypothetical Insurance Question....
A rather affluent, late twenties/early thirties businessman decides to buy a nice new Lamboghini Murcielago. He has 3 points for speeding on his licence, 7 years NCD and keeps the car on his drive behind wall with extensive security around the property and obviously its in a very swish postcode. He will do maybe 7000 miles a year in the car and it is valued at around £150k.
Rouhgly, how much will this purely ficticious gentleman pay in insurance? Matt |
£6.2k
anything from 2-4.5k me thinks
any more for any more?
try ringing an insurance company and finding out
I read a quote for a 28 year old on a vantage was 18k, so I would say 20k for a Lambo Murci
I'd guess £3k if he's over 30. If he's his 20's then forget it!
My uncle got me an insurance quote for a Mac F1 when I was 20.
Twas £30k a year. Purely ficticious you understand. |
i know for a fact a 360F1 can be insured by a 30 year old with 7yrs ncb with 0 points for a grand so I doubt it would be *that* much more....
Maybe double.... Try an online quote at liverpool victoria |
Go for Third Party Fire and Theft - should save a grand or two ;)
Over 10K me thinks ;)

The Autocar hack Chris Harris who bought a Gallardo with his own money said he was paying something like £3k for 6000 miles a year. He is under 30 and not exactly low risk.
