Quick question on a bugeye...please read me...
 

Trying to do what i thought was a simple job, changing the gear knob for momo but the sleeve seems to be attatched to the knob itself am i right or does it just need a good old tug :eek: ?

Andy - it needs a tug :)

The top of the leather cover fits over a ring at the base of the gear knob. If you are fitting a new gear knob, most don't have the ring at the bottom, but you should find that it pretty much stays up on its own. Nitosport do one with a fitting ring (which is what I've got) if you want to change from the Momo.

cheers gave it a tug ;) and yes it came off but the sleeve just slips over the ring any ideas. whats the nito sport one like?

Not that clear, but you can see a larger neck at the base of the gear knob - this is what the leather surround fits over.
