Greetings,

hi ian
i bought some braided hoses from Peter Lloyd Rallying to fit my prodrive brakes to my p1, they were £50 mark |

I bought my braided hoses from Goodridge - just specified P1 and they were delivered a few days later. The only problem was that the garage had to ream out the hole in the bracket that they pass through. |
Nozzer M8. Should be absolutely no probs (except maybe the one from FB). Another way of sorting this prob is to cut the bracket with a hack saw, bend it so the hose fits through, then bend it back. For anyone reading this and thinks it's a horrible bodge, this bracket's only purpose in life is to locate the hose and stop it flapping around. Even easier, run a strap-tie through the braket and fixed the hose in place that way.
If you're upgrading brakes at the same time, I would leave the protection back plate in place (some people remove it completely, to aid cooling). If your discs are bigger, just bend the backing plate back a cm or two. A hammer is exactly the right tool! This protects the disc of course, and it also shields the track-rod end joint from excessive heat. Richard |
As good as they are, all Goodridge need the struts lightly modifying on all Impreza's. Not a big deal... and well worth swapping! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif cheers Paul, TSL |
Or, speak to Pete C @ ScoobySport. Goodridge supply hoses to him with special strut clips for the hoses. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
