Loud Music When Driving!
See here...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/3623237.stm I hate loud music when driving... If I can't hear the road noise, engine noise and other loud noises outside the car then I don't feel fully in control and I can't concentrate on my driving :( The findings in the above article really don't surprise me! An ex-girlfriend used to drive around with music on full volume and couldn't drive to save her life and had several <30mph crashes in the 2 year period we were going out. I tried to get her to turn the music down and she wouldn't have it. She also used to turn my radio up all the time... p1ssed me off no end  I don't have a problem with loud music at other times... home, clubs etc. its just while I'm driving. Am I the only one who can't stand to drive with loud music or do other people have concentration issues when the volumes pumped up? |
never bothered me really... i've driven round with very loud music and with music off and it makes no difference to my driving...
I dont need to worry about engine noise cos the exhaust is loud enough to still be heard over the music!!! Plus most of the time if there is ever a problem i can feel it by the behaviour of the car... so i dont tend to worry. I can understand a little with the issue as to type of music, but its not the music that affects the drivers reactions, i think it is the mood that it creates. This may have an effect |
Loved the comment at the end of the article though... :D
