Its a DECT phone and the batteries i got with it are pretty poor.

hmmm, well the voltage is the same so that is okay. the extra capacity means it will last longer but then again it all depends on the charging circuit, i guess it would take x2 longer to charge up?

I see your logic,but is the charger for Nickel Cadmium the same as for Nickel metal Hydride though?

yes it's only a higher capacity but you can't use a nicad charger to charge nickel metal's ..... IT WILL BLOW THEM UP

Sad as it is, you'll probably find it cheaper just to buy a new phone with a NiMH or Li-Ion battery.

New phone?....i think not....,i'll just leave it on charge permanently,either that or use nmih and charge them up from my digi camera charger.I have 4 sets of batteries...or get new nicads. |
