Just A Quickie, Has Anyone Out There Purchased/ Run A Car With Equal Length Headers?
Read Different Reports Some Boast Of Significant Power Gains, Others Saying Waste Of Money,
Any Comments?

Yup, my new scoob has equal length headers, more power but less flat 4 burble (its standard on my new car btw)

Scoobmeister,

I have run a car on the rollers before and after fitting obx equal length headers. Have the print outs to prove. Car made 20bhp more and 3 lb-ft more with headers. It makes the car sound more throaty and have completely lost any sign of flat four sound.
IMO a good mod.

Dont waste your money unless your car is highly tuned. I had one fitted and the torque went down by 10 lb/ft. Also totally lost the subaru sound.

Agree with trout2 ; I have a recently imported STi with equal length on and it feels really odd. No 'Subaru'engine noise and a radically altered power band. It is chipped and it does go like hell just doesn't drive like I expected it to.

If I knew what I no now, the only mods that I would do for maximum performance and minimum cost is:

1) Decat Exhaust
2) K&N Flat Panel Filter
For more power you will need to remap the ECU

For track day use:
3) Up Rate Springs/shocks
4) Bump Steer
5) AP Racing front brake Kit
6) High Pressure pump & Swirl Pot
