Oi Mike!

What are you doing? I thought i might have been in with a chance of topping your 172 with my run-around but if the medallion comes i don't stand much of a chance do I!

Mike Rainbird 02 June 2000 05:26 PM

Dave,
You are forgetting I set that record with a "mere" 385 bhp, the current engine has 50bhp more at the top end and so should go faster. And as for the new engine (if it is ready in time!), now that would be telling.... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
LOL

I was thinking about sticking nitrous on our RB5 - would I still be allowed to play???

chrisp 04 June 2000 11:36 AM

You will probably be able to play for about 14 seconds http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Then bang !!!

Seriously never heard of anybody nitrous-ing a scooby. Not sure What the outcome would be.

Best of luck

chrisp

There is no limit to what you can do, the onlything is that it has to be street legal.

However, do be warned that there was a Cossie running 350bhp with a claimed 100bhp worth of nitros - it got to 130mph and then proceed to dump the contents of the engine inside the bay...

In fact, we were so sure this would happen, we put a bet that it would be the first. And we won....

Nitros and Cossies don't mix, so I can't see it working with an Impreza (even weeker engine!).
