hi all.
just upgraded my my 96 wagon brakes 2 my99. ones with braided pipes and want 2 know how 2 fasten the pipes to the suspension fasteners as they r thinner than the original rubber pipes. thanx in advnce. mick. ps.not very mechanicaly minded. |
depands on what make you have fitted.......we only supply "goodridge" kits a they have the correct fittings to re-connect using the orginal style (and not that much more expensive to get the 'right' thing!!)
if it is a "cheaper" type kit then you normally have to resort to something like 'cable ties'....... alyn - asperformance.com |
Yes as Alyn says the good ones do have a block in the middle of the hose to hold it onto the strut , we make up our own pipes for the brembo calipers and have sourced these blocks to fit , if yours dont have them fit a piece of rubber hose to the braided hose them tie it to the strut , it wont rub and wear through the braided hose then

As Alyn said Cable Ties, but make sure you can get the suspension travel first, before you fix them.

thanx 4 the replies.
i put rubber round the hoses. then tied it to suspension with cable ties. mick. |
Hi, CAn you tell me if there was any differance in the pedal feel after you fitted the hoses -
I only want to know this if all you did change was the hoses alone and nothing else, so I can have good idea of before and after. Just that I've done the usual disc/pad/fluid upgrades and have been told to do the hoses to improve the feel, I'm still rather cynical on this, so an opinion would help my judgement ;) |

braided hoses work well makes the brakes feel more solid, very good buy.
