Does anyone know what the sensor is located on the drivers side of the screen heater outlet.?? Its like a light sensor or something, but cant work out what it could be for??

It's a photo sensor for the climate control.

I was going to say that! :)
|
So what part does it play??
|
It senses sunlight.
The car is a mobile greenhouse, therefore if its sunny your car heats up, whereas at night no sun gets cold quick. In conjuction with other sensors, the climate system can determine how hard it needs to work, to get to the temp you desire. Once there, determine how to keep it stable. Put the system on auto, and play with the temp setting. It should automatically adjust fan speed, a/c or no a/c, internal external air. HTH Mark |
Cheers Mark, that explains it!!
