How can you do a complete hard reset on an Ipaq? I upgraded ROMv2.0 to v2.10 and the SD card no longer works - tried the SD card fix to no avail. If you do a soft reset then error message pop up "Cflashman" and "aflashman" cannot be found, so I am not convinced that the ROM upgrade worked. I have tried going through the upgrade process again, but still get the same error.

there should be a sliding switch underneath (the opposite side to the reset button)
this should take it back to factory defaults |
I think you need to hold in the left and right bottom application buttons, whilst holding down the power switch, and pressing in the reset button.
or something like that. |

If the ROM is stuffed, I recommend iPaqRepair
Used them when I shafted my 3630 due to a buggy version of the Linux bootloader. Good service and not too bad on price. Hope it doesn't come to that though! [Edited by class_A - 11/24/2003 9:10:55 PM] |
Reboot it mate, and if that dont work then update the BIOS. Thats what you do with all of HP/Compaqs gear aint it ? Get a proper computer mate.
;) :D :D |
Like Burr said, do a full reset, if that still doesn't work re-install the ROM.
cheers, Greg btw gameboy Sonic went down a treat! Had to pretend I'd given it back as she kept asking to play it! |
