need to buy for a homo bloke, any suggestions. I don't want to get something that might offend as in something I'd normally buy for a girl

any suggestions or do you just treat the person as a normal person and buy whatever??

this is not a windup posting by the way

Jye 14 October 2003 03:52 PM

Oh dear.

fitzscoob 14 October 2003 03:52 PM

handbag?

only kidding, whats he into? football? cars? if all else fails how about booze?

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 03:54 PM

I don't know him well enough to really know, he's the brother of the missus

davegtt 14 October 2003 03:56 PM

if we was supposed to treat him like a normal bloke or something why bother posting hes a homo????

sounds more like a wind up to me ;)

CD's cant go wrong with them. sure he'll appriciate a blue CD...lol

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 03:56 PM

I was thinking maybe some skin care type stuff, moisturiser etc

TelBoy 14 October 2003 03:56 PM

Jye, where do they come from, eh?

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 03:57 PM

well at the end of the day you want to buy a present that the person will actually want, if he was a normal bloke I'd go for a calendar with topless birds on it for example

Dracoro 14 October 2003 04:00 PM

Why don't you speak to someone who knows him, they'll know what he likes. Not sure what his sexuality has to do with anything though. They're not all camp effeminate types you know who want body products. And there are many straight blokes who DO like body products.

Topless birds calendar is obviously not what he wants, you wouldn't give a girl one either. You wouldn't give your straight mates a gay blokes calendar either. But this is all obvious though.

:)

messiah 14 October 2003 04:02 PM

What's his boyfriend buying him? Maybe he'll have some ideas.

How about bite proof pillows? :D

jpmason33 14 October 2003 04:04 PM

am getting flash backs to Gareth from "The Office"

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 04:04 PM

heck there's some touchy types here aren't there? if I said I need to buy a present for a girl what should I get there'd be no reaction like this

what's the problem? I need to buy a gay guy a present but don't know what to buy, I can be boring and buy a bottle of booze but I'd sooner buy something original. also gotta spend Christmas day with him so don't want to offend obviously

fitzscoob 14 October 2003 04:06 PM

aftershave?

or failing that go to the gadget shop and buy any fun looking plastic **** item they have :)

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 04:06 PM

jpmason33 14 October 2003 04:11 PM

are you sure your not Gareth from the office?

"My dad, for example, he's not as cosmopolitan or as educated as me and it can be embarrasing you know. He doesn't understand all the new trendy words - like he'll say 'poofs' instead of 'gays', 'birds' instead of 'women', 'darkies' instead of 'coloureds'."

Quote taken from the BBC series "The Office"

LOL

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 04:13 PM

I need to see the office, sounds a laugh

messiah 14 October 2003 04:13 PM

I'm sorry HD, but no-one on here can resist the gags - especially when a homo is concerned...

Didn't you know Non Scooby Related is actually Muppet Show 2? :)

Why don't you just ask him if there's anything he'd like? Maybe he'll give you a choice of a few things so there'll still be an element of surprise. Will the wife not know of anything?

HumptyDumpty 14 October 2003 04:15 PM

he's only just come out apparently well a year or so, keeps himself to himself so no one really knows

he's not especially effiminate although thinking about it he has certain mannerisms. oh I don't ****ing know , i'll leave it up to the missus

lightning101 14 October 2003 04:48 PM
