Anyone know the max size of speakers that will fit in the rear doors of a MY03 WRX. Also do the rear doors suffer from the same lack of depth that the fronts do?

I've just bought some refurbished Infinity 552i's which are 5 1/4 inch with 2 1/2 inch mounting depth and require 4 7/8 inch hole so I'm hoping they'll fit, otherwise they will be in the for sale section pretty soon.

The OEMs are 4 inch. You'll need to either build a small baffle or cut some metal to make 5 1/4s fit. Depth is not an issue, because you've got no window behind there even when the window is down as far as it'll go :D

I've put some rather nice JBL 5.25's in the rear, but had to cut about 5mm off 3 sides with a jigsaw, but I only had to do this and not put a spacer in because the JBL's have a raised swiveling tweeter, which also meant I had to "smooth" the speaker moulding inside the door card ...

The JBL's have huge magnets are something like 70mm deep - but no problems at all - and they sound great!
