I have a STiIV '98.It's done just under 8k mls, and the clutch has started to slip if I floor the throttle in 4th/5th,at about 4k rpm.I'm assuming it's when torque/boost is at max'.
Have any of you uprated your clutch ?.Any recommendations.

Mark.

I've used the organic clutch plate and group N cover from PTS and have had no problem as yet. MY94 WRX with 268bhp and 270 lb/ft. Standard clutch slipped all the time.

Stuart,

I have a 95WRX. How much was the clutch and how much for fitting?

This I am interested in too. Any info on dual friction clutches from ppl like centreforce or GAB or whoever? Surely clarence would know and Pete 'Cronyism'...so would Kevin Martin but then he's not posting is he..just lurking in some dark corner waiting to pounce! http://bbs.sidc.co.uk/smile.gif

The complete clutch (plate, cover and release bearing) was about £500 from PTS. My usual mechanic fitted the lot for £200.
