Be wise and go back to OEM-filtering:

-Better filtering
-Colder intake-air
-No pollution of MAFsensor due to oil or water.
-Induction versus OEM gives no powergain.

Ive Got a MY01 WRX and recently fitted a Graham goode Induction kit
From all ive read about induction kits on My01 Cars, i need some sort of heat shield to (well shield it from heat obviously)
Has anyone got any ideas on where i can get 1 or what i could use.

All help much appreciated

Have read some posts about heat sheild only been needed when stopped in traffic due to heat soak that gives a slight hesitation on pulling away, but once on the move a ok. My induction should be ariving in the next few days for the My01 are you not worried at all about running lean or are you running a custom map. Either way as your so close any pointers i might need to drag out the old oem box that you could show me ?
Cheers

Dont fit an induction kit to an MY01 onwards unless you get it mapped with the new kit fitted, the car will run lean with possible disastrous results.
A friends car was the test car for K+N and he let them fit a typhoon induction kit to his MY01.The car at speed was detting like mad which we presume K+N didnt test for.
He then went straight back to OEM and all was fine and still is.

You have been warned.
