alanjack 08 August 2003 10:34 PM

I have a full de-cat HKS hiper Muffler on my car at the minute is the Blitz a hell of a lot louder then?

Is it the Spec R?

R.B 08 August 2003 10:53 PM

In order

Bpm Twister
Afterburner
Blitz
Hks hyper

FASTER MIKE!! 08 August 2003 11:05 PM

yea BPM twister with scoobysport d.pipe

john banks 08 August 2003 11:29 PM

Afterburner with SS DP I thought was quite "quiet" compared to a Blitz Nurspec R which has a horrifically loud resonance just at crusing speed  Good when you want noise though. Much preferred the sound of the Afterburner.

H&S 01268 727256 made an exhaust for me that was louder than a Fornmula 1 car, of course you could have it made slightly quieter....

submannz 09 August 2003 08:18 AM

BORLA all the way, Believe you me bloody loud

Swany STI 5 09 August 2003 09:10 AM

Blitz nur spec r!!! you wont be disappointed my neighbours are going nuts!!! he he

alanjack 09 August 2003 03:06 PM

Will all of the above back boxes fit onto the HKS centre section?

Abbylad 09 August 2003 03:09 PM

no-ones mentioned the 'pat spec' 3.25" system, i hear thats loud

M0NEY 09 August 2003 06:33 PM

In order

Bpm Twister
Afterburner
Blitz
Hks hyp
??

Blits is DEFINITELY louder than adfterburner.

My scoobysport downpipe, Blitz Nur Spec R was around 118db.

Firestorm system was around 111db i think, and cant remember what the HKS was but wasnt louder than the blitz.

Havent heard the BPM Twister.

If you just want a loud system, be prepared to be stopped by the cops

Steve vRS 09 August 2003 06:55 PM

BPM Twister on a decatted classic is the loudest zaust I have heard on a Scoob.

I don't think that makes ANY difference somehow:)

Again, will these back boxes fit onto the HKS centre?

Eddoe 09 August 2003 08:35 PM

Blitz nur spec r!! Nuff said!!

I know most people are interested in noise, but which system gives the best power gains? Someone told me it was the HKS Hiper, because it has the greatest unrestricted flow. Someone else said it was the Blitz Nur R Spec. What do you guys think/know?
Have they ever been put to the test to see which one produces the most BHP?

TBMeech 13 August 2003 07:16 PM

I've got the Impreziv Hurricane TiTip on mine, its much louder than a Hiper (Had one previously), as Ian has said the Buddy Club is apparantly circa 120db which would make it the loudest.....

Buzzer 14 August 2003 08:43 AM

Mad Gypsy

The performance of these zorsts is negligable, possibly 3-4 bhp. Although you do seem to feel a little less restricted and everything seems a little more looser than with a standard BB.

IMO its just how you want it to sound mate and its more about the further back up the zorst you go, the better the performance gains ;)

If you want the best performance exhaust on the market give me a call.

Full stainless steel, mandrell bent, Turbo Back de-cat system with splitter from the turbo outlet - 3.5" internal diameter. (its big enough to fit your fist inside)

We have the first production system outside Melbourne (Aus). Taking orders now - £1015 + vat

Chris I'm intrigued as to what you mean by this?

TBMeech 14 August 2003 10:03 AM

Aus73,

So its a 5Zigen then? Thats what came out tops in japan last year

aus73 14 August 2003 10:09 AM

Sorry guys - its an APS 3.5" system. The best thing to do when buying an exhaust system is to take a vernier caliper with you and physically measure the internal diameter.

APS have just invested a substantial amount of money in their own tooling and jigs because they couldn't find anyone to mandrell bend (or water bend) 3.5" stainless steel. This diameter is too large for the average road-going vehicles, and too small for truck exhaust systems. Other companies may offer something similar - but most of them have to cut sections and wld them together which creates more problems than it solves - see the other exhaust thread.

darkblueturbo 14 August 2003 10:17 AM

the loudest exhaust system would be a downpipe....

on it's own. with no anything else. it's be WELL loud and your turbo would spool up WELL quick. :D

paul corrigan 14 August 2003 08:43 PM

mr darkblueturbo wont the floor of the car get a bit warm??
it would be like having underfloor heating great for the winter
