Reason I ask this question, is that there's only aprroximatley 90 TT Legacys registered in the UK

I have this from a reliable source ;)

And was therefore wondering how many owners are on Scoobynet.
This may possibly lead to a register :)

Cheers

Mark

AJbaseBloke 06 August 2003 04:54 PM

Obviously not many...

TTT

C'mon, show yerselves ;)

pugoetru 06 August 2003 05:45 PM

Jonto 06 August 2003 05:53 PM

Tim - or blow has one, he organised a meet in stone for legacy TT's, about 10 were there and me in my scooby ! :D

Dremel 06 August 2003 07:19 PM

I've got one.........but you should already know that !!!!
MY98 GTB Revision "C"

Jon (Dremel)

MattN 06 August 2003 07:41 PM

only 90?

I find that hard to believe. I've ahd 3, my dad had one so did my mum. that means I've import nearly 5% of all TT's in the country :)

Blow 06 August 2003 10:14 PM

Yer, its me Mark, i think thats a good idea. All these other Jap cars and the ultimate stealth thingy has no register!!! I'm up for it mate, we need a web guru and a plan more cunning than the cunning fox from cunning college etc etc.....
Tim

GTB Limited 07 August 2003 09:18 AM

So who's a web guru?

richrussell 07 August 2003 09:36 AM

I have a MY96 BG5B Legacy GT-B.

If there's only 89 twin-turbos in the UK, it does make us rather exclusive :)

RIch.

Steve@RSX 07 August 2003 11:17 AM

I have just got one.
Picked it up from the dock last week and its sweet.

mikewelch 07 August 2003 12:01 PM

I've got one to. '96 GT in silver. Bought it a couple of months ago. Another one turned up in the village within a couple of weeks !Same year in green. Not that exclusive then ?
Apart from the fuel consumption a brilliant car.

pch 07 August 2003 01:23 PM

Had mine for the past year, a 93/94 BG5A Legacy GT automatic in metallic green, was imported in 1998 or 1999 I believe.
When it is going right is a lovley car, the grown up scooby, however cannot get above 25mpg however gently (probably not very) I drive it.

Paul!

richrussell 07 August 2003 03:03 PM

>Apart from the fuel consumption a brilliant car.

Heh - that's one of the reasons I like the car! Fuel consumption's so much better than my GTI-R...

I get about 24mpg on average, occasionally 28mpg on motorways.

Just miss the handling the GTI-R had - but I suppose the Legacy is rather longer and heavier...

Rich.

Steve@RSX 07 August 2003 03:13 PM

I still have my GTiR too!!!

MACT 07 August 2003 04:13 PM

Yep I have one too! 2000 GTB Etune. Was unable to make to the meet earlier this year but would love to go to one, any ideas for another meet?

Cheers,
Simon

superich18 07 August 2003 04:51 PM

My friend has an L Reg import twin turbo! he lives with me down in southampton

GTB Limited 07 August 2003 05:19 PM

Fuel consumption? what fuel consumption :D

Did hit 30mpg to the Lake District, but it needs to be that long :)

Mark

stakhanov 07 August 2003 06:36 PM

I'm there too. MY00/01 how can I tell for sure please.... recently acquired after a long wait for funds. First car I've had for a long time that makes me grin to drive.
Fuel consumption 25.3 average on Optimax.

Leachy 08 August 2003 11:29 AM

I've got one, 98 ex prodrive one but it broke last night

richrussell 08 August 2003 01:56 PM

Fuel consumption's a lot better if you don't let the 2nd turbo wake up obviously...

It's just hard to resist that growly engine note though :)

Rich

B4 Boy (at work!) 08 August 2003 03:32 PM

MY99 B4 DBM

21mpg Am I doing something wrong!!?

Geoff.RC 08 August 2003 03:33 PM

Hi All,
I am new here. I have a 99 Legacy B4 RSK 5speed manual in black mica.1998cc twin sequential turbo,280bhp from the factory, black leather with blue insets, syms rear-box,privacy glass to the rear windows, chromed alloys, (kirbed to hell Japs cannot drive!).
I had never seen one before,I had never driven a Scooby even but when I saw her it was love at first sight.I have never had so much fun in a motor as this one, no one knows what it is but they sure know that it IS somthing.
Geoff.

AJbaseBloke 08 August 2003 03:49 PM

B4 Boy - too much Welly m8 ;) I am up to about 23.5mpg avg (with most of that done in Tokyo's traffic) - but I get 28mpg on fast open road runs, 30+ when behaving:D

Geoff - Japan's roads are very tight, and curbing wheels on streets that are not really wide enough for 2 way traffic is common (and I've seen it often enough in London too). You'd better try driving here prior to slagging everyone off over here;) Anyway, there are plenty of good drivers that curb their alloys in the UK, too... Glad to hear you are enjoying the car:D

Keep'em coming gents (and ladies) :)

Geoff.RC 08 August 2003 04:19 PM

Hi AJbaseBloke,
no offence intended. I have no history with my car but the milage was 20,000 Kph when I got her, the brakes were worn out and she was full of little dings and dents and had a body kit fitted. I had the kit stripped off and the bodywork sorted. She is like new underneath and in the engine bay.
I assumed, always a dangerous thing to do,that my car must have been a city car in Japan and never driven very far, just often.
I have had several Japanese imports, you sure keep the best cars to yourselves.
Kind Regards,
Geoff.

AJbaseBloke 08 August 2003 05:51 PM

Geoff,

No offence taken m8:)

When you do come over, I've got 4 curbed alloys to show you:D

BTW, there is a group on yahoo - legacyb4 - where we get together also...a bit of a support group for TT heads if you will;) Quite a bit of good info on there (fair bit of tripe too ;) ). How many bar?:o

Cheers:)

Blow 08 August 2003 07:06 PM

How about the SLDC Subaru Legacy Drivers Club. Of course we can then be an associate of the SIDC. But do we have all Legacies? The original and now the new one are single turbo with the second and third versions being twin turbos. I suppose we should invite them all as there are only 90 Twin Turbos, thats an exclusive club.
Your thoughts please?
Tim
Ready for another meet?

legacygttt280bhp 08 August 2003 08:13 PM

Hi I have a legacy gt twin turbo 1994 met green import a great car when shes working but when shes poorly your pocket feels the pain. I have been lead to believe there is only 90 in the country where I live there is the same car as mine not more than a mile away and colour we do happen to be friends lol.

But have to say you dont see many of these cars around, I do get some funny looks when im in my car or people just standing looking at the car when im at the shop, nice to be different Paul.

Amdathlonuk 08 August 2003 08:17 PM

I've got one..........!!!!
In that rare Metallic Green colour.
SHe's now been dropped onto 18's with a custom built 5" exit SS exhaust from the down pipes.....She shatters windows now ;-)

GTB Limited 18 August 2003 12:33 PM

Tim,

Having just TTs would make it exclusive.
It would probably work for a register, but for a club IMO we should invite all.
The SLDC idea sounds great.
Still need a web guru though.

I get Jap Performance nearly every month, no mention of TTs, maybe we should pester them for a feature, let everyone know we exsist ;)

Yep I'm up for another meet :)

Mark

Dremel 18 August 2003 09:12 PM

I agree Tim, never a mention in any of the mags & I'm up for ameet also, maybe get a few more this time and a better organised drive out if we have one.

Jon.
