Anyone had a call from Dell today regarding potential performance and/or availability issues with the SCSI RAID arrays?
Extract taken from E-mail from DELL: In order to prevent potential performance and/or availability issues with the SCSI RAID arrays, Dell recommends that your run a utility that detects and corrects potential issues with a small number of Seagate hard disk drives and that your system is updated to the latest versions of the RAID firmware and the RAID driver. If you are using Dell OpenManage Array Manager and/or Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, Dell also recommends that you upgrade these to the latest versions available. If anyone wants a copy of the E-mail I'll forward it over. Cheers Darren [Edited by darlodge - 04/08/2003 15:31:05] |
