Thanks to East Coast Scooby on Nasioc for the picture of this Mitsubishi part which is a Subaru up/downpipe bolt pattern 8 cm2 TD05H exhaust housing. The nozzle is 1 cm2 larger than that on our TD05 or TD05/06 hybrids. It should just bolt on to our TD05 core and over our TD05 exhaust wheels.

On the edge of the inlet flange it is 2128

Any suggestions on how to source this in the UK? Forced Performance can only sell me a complete 20G turbo without water cooling :(

TRUST is the same company as GREDDY

It is hard to get the MItsu TD05 8cms housings from Japan, since most of them are bought by TRUST for the several turbos they offer for the WRXs.

Where is the 7 or 8cm2 actually measured? Is it the narrowest point in the exhaust path?

Do these housings have larger inlet and wastegate areas?

I think this is the same housing that some of the Jap MHI hybrids (HKS/Greddy) use.

I think it is the turbine nozzle?

Indeed the GReddy/Trust/Mitusbishi arrangement is odd. Finding a source for the damn things will be tricky, Forced Performance say the reason they won't supply the exhaust housing alone is that they can only buy about 12 at a time themselves, and they need them all for complete turbos.

I'm not surprised that this turbo is slow spooling ! Looking at the full thread on NASIOC, that turbine wheel must have around 20 degrees cut back  Been there, tried that, it killed the spool up AND lost top end power !

the results were not impressive ..... it had a +30whp (please note that this is on "US rollers") over a VF30.
