Ive been offered a Prodrive ECU for my 2002 WRX supposd to increase from 218 to 280odd BHP. Will my standard engine and turbo cope with this or is it just a bad idea.

218 to 280, errrrrrrrrrrrr nope :p
|
Isn't it 245, but only if you have the resr of the PPP kit aswell
|
As has been pointed out, around 245-250bhp, more torque in the midrange, better performance, but i doubt that you would get 280+bhp out of it ( )
The power figure is quoted running super unleaded fuel too btw. Tony |
to get 245 ish you'll need to do something with the exhaust. The PPP pack has back box and cat replacement for the centre section cat. Also there is a restrictor with a PPP too. You'll need to change the turbo hoses as well as they often split. the PPP has these as well.
I managed to get a second hand PPP with a restrictor. I just used complete scoobysport center and rear sections £300. (second hand too) and bout a set of hoses for about 80. |
Cheers guys!!! Any sugestions where to look for ppp kit new or second hand,AWD Motersport have a second hand Magnex 6x4 Back box and de-cat pipe for £200 Is this a good buy?
