Windows XP Media Centre Edition does it all, not sure if it has been released in the UK though.

Hi

I use a Shuttle celeron 1.7 with a Nvidia 4200ti vivo, it's linked to a Yammy amp via the video in/out, software i use is MGI videowave. It also does as a lan machine (although tbh processor could do with an update to a p4) if any mate are holding sessions :D

I read somewhere that Windows XP Media Centre Edition was to be OEM only..... Confirm/deny anyone?

I looked into the Microsoft Media Centre but as someone mentioned it is OEM only just now due to the complexity of the hardware that it runs on, it looks well cool you get a remote control etc.

Thats the kinda thing im looking for an all in one system that I can run through my tv, no monitor will be attached, will be used as a webserver etc also :-)

how about one of these then tut, my setup is an xp2500 with 9700pro and a cheap tv card, used as main machine plus serving xbox and shuttle via a router, both shuttle and xp2500 can record tv although suttle needs cable tuner :)

If you can receive digital terrestial transmissions, I would strongly advise going for the Nebula DigiTV card instead of the Hauppauge. Comes with a remote and the software (for recording etc.) is just excellent.

Somewhere to get specific info is the AVForums forum for HTPCs

Cheers
