The short answer is no.

The longer answer is...

I couldn't find details on the van, but it's based on the 1.5 dCi 3 door (65bhp). That has a kerb weight of 960kg (excluding driver), a max towing weight of 1200kg, and an overal train weight limit (i.e. car, trailer, driver, luggage etc) of 2400kg.

A classic scoob has a kerb weight of 1385kg plus you'll need another 100kg or soo for the trailer. It's also recommended that the trailer is only 85% of the tow cars kerb weight.

Whilst it's possible the van has been designed to lug around more that the car, I doubt such a small car would ever safely tow an Impreza.

Sorry.

Steve.

Put the clio on the trailer and tow using the scooby? :)

Damn it, back to the drawing board. Dont supose anyone lives near Bristol with a car capable of towing a Scoob up to Leciester!

hire something big

transit or disco type

tell them you want to pull a caravan, they dont seem to mind that at hire places

I had a similar dilemma and needed to tow a defunct Lotus 200 miles, hired an old Range Rover from a small local garage for £100 for a weekend, no probs, apart from the number of fuel topups at 14 mpg! As has been said you should be able to hire a Disco or a Shogun with a towbar from any of the usual hire places (Budget have always been good for me)for a day or weekend at a sensible rate.

You could hire a flat bed truck - like the AA ones. Might need an HGV licence though. I've no idea.
