BAH 22 June 2003 08:22 PM

Jen.....

Need to have one of those Silver glittery badge's

Where from...?

Jen 22 June 2003 09:07 PM

Did it myself :) Depends if you want to keep your old one or not ;):D

Take the old badge off, then it's just a black paint on the back, you can use paint remover, or scrape it off like I did...then either get some glittery nail varnish (hehe! :D) and paint it on, or use silver glitter with clear varnish which hardens when dry (which is what I did)...then stick it back on the car - simple

Actually looks alot better "in real life" as the sun makes it sparkle and you see all the colours..well, keeps me amused ;):D

BAH 22 June 2003 09:13 PM

Just got a new facelift grill so need a badge for it, may have to go with pink then unless oyu want to make me one.......

Thanks Crush :) Can always rely on you! :D Just waiting 'till I get to go to a "proper" rally, then I'll get Petter to sign one fog light cover and Phil Mills the other, then it truely *will* be finished :)

Mortywrx 24 June 2003 08:28 PM

Jen is that a R-Reg cos my mate had one and we haven't seen him for ages and the last time we heard he traded it in and got a nice Escort Cossie but when you said it as leathers and looking at the radius wheels not that there is possibly hundreds of scoobys with the same mods just a thought.

Markus 24 June 2003 08:35 PM

Jen,
Looking fantastic! very nice car indeed!

Chris_S199 24 June 2003 09:07 PM

Nah Mortywrx, it's a MY98 on an 'S' plate and we got it from a couple in Fleet in Hampshire :)

Chris

Jen 24 June 2003 09:19 PM

He's right Morty - sorry :)...well, he was there at the time! :D

..and thanks Sharkus :) Hope all's well in Canada :D

Markus 24 June 2003 10:45 PM

My pleasure Jen. Canada is great, loving it! no scooby for me at the mo though :( too much to insure, due to silly laws i'm classed as though I'm 16 and thus my 11 years driving experience and 7 years of claim free motoring count for diddly squat, so an STi is a bit beyond my means :D However, I am saving pennies and might be able to get one next year! yay! :)

Jen 25 June 2003 09:11 AM

Yay definatly! :D Glad you're enjoying it matey, if you do get one be sure to post the pics :)

Scoobychick 25 June 2003 02:22 PM

I love the bling bling badge, fantastic :D

I want one although it might look a bit silly on my MX-5 ;) :D

Scooby Diva xx 25 June 2003 06:25 PM

Oo, MX5  Saving up for a little Eunos to replace my boring Corsa

Gav 25 June 2003 11:21 PM

great looking car jen, did you notice a difference with the brakes or were they on the car when you bought it??

gav..

Jen 26 June 2003 07:29 AM

Hiya Gav - most certainly did notice a difference :) That's mainly because we went from two-pots (the brakes on our Corsa are better ;):D) which were quite frankly the most scary thing to have on a Scoob and changed the disks, calipers, lines, fluid and pads at the same time :) Probably wouldn't go with the calipers if I was doing it again - I'd try to get hold of some Subaru 4 pots, but I can't fault the disks (appart from being a bit noisy, but that's what you get with grooved disks :)) and hte fluid/lines are quite cool

It was a bit of a comprimise between the big brake kits which cost twice as much - if I was doing it again I'd probably save up for one of those having now driven a car with Brembo's :D But you can't beat it for the money

Gav 26 June 2003 04:24 PM

thanks jen, brakes are going to be something i change soon so i'm after a bit of advice off peeps.

keep up the good work on your scoob!!!

gav..

Rusty Festa 29 June 2003 08:58 AM

Shame to waste the corner :D

very clean lookong Jen, don't clutter it with a big wing ;)

south-star 29 June 2003 10:55 PM

Love the alloys...........they look great:)....

Jen 30 June 2003 07:25 AM

Thanks guys :D ...havn't driven him since thursday, so I'm looking forward to the drive to work this morning :D

Like the alloys, I'd prefer some anthracite ones, but you can't have everything :)
