Disable the 'Messenger Service' or turn on the firewall in XP.
|
On your desktop, right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage'
Double-click 'Services and Applications' then 'Services' Scroll down to 'Messenger' Right-click on it and select 'properties' Set it's start-up type to disabled. Note, this service is nothing to do with MSN Messenger. Paul |
