I've got a noise coming from my rear diff, well thats what i've been told which apparantly is not a problem as scoobys often do. Being not grease monkey minded what sort of a problem is the rear diff. going to be, Re. cost and size of job? Any help grately rec'd. 97 WRX.

Thunder, most diffs are about £300 - £350 secondhand. Sure ir's the diff? as there are problems with rear wheel bearing seals and there is a modified seal kit to stop water and grit getting into the wheel bearings and screwing them up.

Change a diff is a bit of a pain because it's labour intensive but should be no more than a couple of hours.

David APl lmprezas mail me on obriens1@btopenworld.com if you want more info. Good luck

Thunder,

You could always turn the volume down on your hearing aid, that should sort it!!

(Not intended to upset anyone who is hard of hearing, just an in joke with Thunder!!)
