Sorry to hear it, must be very tricky. Mates beer and new ladies must help a bit. :)
Watch out though, i don't think you are allowed to talk about mens emotional problems on this board. ;) Roy. (staying silent, having nothing to say about this or IVF) [Edited by wiltshire_boy - 6/2/2003 2:18:08 AM] |
... of 9 years. It was a mutual decision to part, we are both miserably unhappy and it was starting to affect our 2 boys (2.5 and 4.5 years).
This weekend was my first weekend with them. it was lovely, but as they walked away from my car with their mom this afternoon I was in a mess. thanks to the abismal m3 traffic for distracting me on my way back to surrey. I know others must have been through this. It was an amicable split, but I'm a bit of a mess for having to come to the hard truth of not being able to live with my kids! I intend to keep a strict and frequent visiting routine and logically I think they'll have a better relationship with me for it. What I want to know is what others in this situation did to move on? I was thinking of getting my bike license, but I'm not that flush even before the CSA get to me. I need not to be feeling sorry for myself and wonder what others do/did to step into a new life? Is joining a gym good for a bit of social contact? any ideas? |
It takes time mate.
Did the same thing about 5yrs ago and it took me abut a year to get back to 'normal'. On reflection it's the best thing I ever did cos I was with someone that I would have ended up hating and vice verca. Had lots of *fun* since then! It makes you weary of relationships. Get yer tackle out and see what bites. Good luck. |
Find a good reliable freind to bounce off now and again (and i dont mean Shag) someone you can talk to.
That will really help. All the very best |
Sorry to hear this mike :(

Fosters
Sorry to hear your news It happened to me 8 years ago i'd been married 7 years my missus and our 7 month old son went to see her parents in Brazil and never came back, now i get to see my son once a year if i can afford it and saying goodbye after a visit doesnt get any easier, so i can empathise with you there, still im on line now waiting for him on messenger so it aint all bad. After three years of oblivion I got my 5hit together and met my Fiance who said at the start she didnt want kids but in 8 weeks time were expecting our first, so even after the bad bad times good times will always turn up, and thats coming from a pesimist (sp?) its gonna hurt like hell for the next few months but as the old saying goes time is a great healer as are plenty of other things. Chin up and hang on in there. |
get your mates round once a week with a few cans and get totally legless !!
one night a week on the pull and the next modle is always better than the ex:D and polish the scoob to make you :D |
every relationship can only be better than the last one
Really? |
Fosters, a shame this has happened.
As it's an amicable split I see no reason why the CSA will get involved if you agree an amount with your EX. The CSA get involved if you do a runner and don't pay any support or the women is very vindictive if you have agreed an amount. |
Takes time mate and very good friends. My ex was having an affair with my best mate who was work colleage to. I gave him a good hiding ( spent night in cell for it )kicked her out. This was 13 years ago. Take one day at a time, for a while you will have 7 bad days then after a while you will have 6 bad and 1 good and so it goes on. Good mates and loads of time is a very good healer, trust me |
