Cheers Scoobywhite. Any others?

I feel a front entry TD05 would do a better job for a lot less.

Check the Aussie boards (mrtrally.com.au), they're not overly impressed with them.

Depends on your requirements/expectations really?

Where can I get a TD05 front entry then? Does it bolt straight on and connect to oil and water etc.?

In there forums (MRT) they say that the APS Turbos are the best but what they do not like it IS the BIG PROBLEM - big price of APS Turbos.........

And whilst I'm at it, is the VF23 still rated? (I am after 320-330bhp and relatively fast spool-up, not high top end and big lag)

Hi Pie Man

I think the Vf 23 is very well suited to your requirements with the right mod's.

Mail me of line if you want.

Dougie

My feeling is that the VF23 is totally outclassed by the TD05 in every department going.

Pieman 29 April 2003 12:25 PM

So if I went for a TD05 (with fuel pump and remap) would my MY00 intercooler still be up to the job?
(I'm fully decatted, with uppipe, ported manifold, ITG and Tek 2.5)

Making boost heats the air no matter how efficient the turbo, just that the more efficient ones heat it less for the same boost. It is very easy to get back to where you started with the lesser turbo on charge temperature by running more boost on a bigger turbo! For serious boost you need to upgrade the intercooler. I think the TD05 would be safe enough at a fairly solid 320 BHP without a FMIC, but for track use you would want to turn the boost down a bit and use octane booster.

Cheers John. Time to start saving!
