i'm sure there's plenty of people who'd be interested.

chiark 14 April 2003 11:04 AM

People have looked into it, but given that the supplier doesn't need to do a group buy, there's no interest in their side from doing it :D

New To Scoob 14 April 2003 11:04 AM

I could be interested in one of those for my 03sti, just need to get paid first, then confirm it with the boss (wife).

ozzy 14 April 2003 11:11 AM

This was asked before, but the PSI3 guys said that they've did deals with specific suppliers, so Group Buys are not on :(

Lunchie 14 April 2003 01:57 PM

So maybe we should look at group buys with those suppliers?

I may be interested in a pod mount for my MY99.

UHF 14 April 2003 02:00 PM

dont see why a group buy with the suppliers would be a problem

Gav 14 April 2003 02:02 PM

i'd deffo be interested in a centre pod mount for my 2000 turbo.

gav...:D :D :D

marklemac 14 April 2003 02:05 PM

I could perhaps be pursuaded to part with some money for one for my STi7

JohnMcC 14 April 2003 02:12 PM

If one of the suppliers would be up for it then I would be interested too.

(MY03 WRX)

:)

UHF 14 April 2003 02:13 PM

I just mailed a few :) see what happens if anything

JohnMcC 14 April 2003 02:43 PM

Cool :D

Thanks... :)

Abbylad 14 April 2003 02:54 PM

good luck getting hold of the pods for the unit to go in :(

UHF 14 April 2003 02:55 PM

it comes supplied with the unit according to psi3, you basically order it as it has a different model number depending on the car its for and you get the right hood then

Abbylad 14 April 2003 06:13 PM

yeah but there`s no units in this country. psi3, scoobyworld and TSL all say they are waiting for the pods to come from america.
So, good luck getting hold of a pod, again

UHF 14 April 2003 06:27 PM

oh really? didnt know that!

I sent a scoobymania pod back a while ago, had one in my hand but was gonna put 3 defi gauges in and it wasnt big enough.

BTW, I spoke to Scoobyworld who said that the suppliers wouldnt let them do a discount

rb5 286 14 April 2003 06:39 PM

i suggest tryin a USA supplier

lot cheaper and cos of the light weight it will pose no customs tax

SyHightower 14 April 2003 06:59 PM

in interested too, for a MY97

cheers

Sy

Marc R 14 April 2003 07:20 PM

Sy, they're not available for your car yet, I have the same year and am still waiting. :(.

Marc

*Sonic* 14 April 2003 08:18 PM

but there dearer from some of the suppliers Ive seen, buy them direct, theres your discount

Funnily enough, I actually emailed psi today about a potential group buy, and they said no discount

Anyone got the standalone unit, and a pic of it, and possibly dimensions

Steve

midlife-crisis-scooby 14 April 2003 09:18 PM

I hear they *might* be at the Northern Big One and fitting them free (after paying for the unit)........

try e-mailing them and see if the above is true?

Midlife...

UHF 14 April 2003 09:27 PM

fitting them is just a matter of plugging them into the diag port tho isnt it?

midlife-crisis-scooby 15 April 2003 10:41 PM

UHF

Dead right, They plug into the select monitor port..It's just nice to have a cup of tea while someone else threads the cables and sorts out the dash mounted pod.

UHF 16 April 2003 06:56 AM

yeah I looked up the instructions, you've got to cut away the bloody tray rather than just sit on top of it :(

Squizz 16 April 2003 08:10 AM

Tell me about it!

Squizz.
(Part time model, tray-cutter, and website developer...) :D

UHF 16 April 2003 08:20 AM

since the pod is an official subaru part you would have thought that there is a replacement fascia to go with it which is the right size and doesnt include a tray so you can swap them?

no doubt there is and it costs £90!

It looks to me from the instructions on thier website that there are screw holes behind the dash ready for such a hood, well planned subaru, shame you have to destroy the car tho!
