Hi,

standard ITR's run far too lean stock. Fit an air/fuel controller to lean it out and you will be very surprised just how much fuel you can save.

Our 210bhp ITR makes 280 miles to £30 of Optimimax, and our VTEC point is set at 4.4k rpm, so we are constantly "in the zone" as some of you put it ;)

Regards,

Michael

They run lean as stock so fit an air fuel controller and lean it out? Errr ;)

I love the 172 Cup. Hell of a lot of the car for the money. I spotted one in a local garage, brand new, unregistered for £11500!

ITR's are brilliant. Far more fun than a uk impreza. Mine seemed to do 30mpg no matter how I drove. My 1st service @ 9k cost £76 at the dealers.

If I didn't require 4 doors I'd sell the scoob and buy another.

biggest cost is tyres every 6>8k!

Nearly bought one of these, what is the performance like.
People range from 6 to 7 secs 0-60, was is it off your experiences
Are they quicker than scoobies through the range.
Also what mods give you what bhp
just curious of how good these are.
cheers for replies.

previous generation ITR figures:

0 to 60 appx 6.5 (purely a traction issue)

0 to 100 appx 16 - 16.2

so 60 to 100 in less time than standard bugeye, about the same as blobeye and slightly less than classic.

bugger all on the road,really

R888MYP what mods have you done, as just setting the VTEC cut in point at 4400 will do next to nothing, unless you have it mapped, and the extensive time we spent mapping my old car proved that having a lower VTEC point made the power very flat, so peak power dropped losing the nature of the VTEC.

210BHP is quite high for an DC2, Manifold, Exhaust, De-cat, ECU, Cams, valvetrain?

Modding the B-Series engine is very expensive, and few quick big gains, handling and brakes are the main development area.
