Richard,

Any ideas mate??

No ideas guys??

Richard Askew 11 March 2003 11:50 AM

..cant get the link cos of firewall restrictions so I'm not sure if its the correct one..

Does it bolt to intercooler?

If so -unbolt old one and replace with new one. Blank off large pipe with correct size bung - refit small hose to DV (IIRC im confused bout that) and make sure everythings tight..

Its very difficult to explain without pictures..

adroy 11 March 2003 11:52 AM

Richard,

It does have bolt holes, yeah, but i currently don't have one.

I'll post a pic of the one on that site.

Hang on...

Here it is,

adroy 11 March 2003 12:12 PM

It also comes with 3 springs??

Ones soft, ones medium and ones hard??

What are these bits for, where do they go?

P20SPD 11 March 2003 12:37 PM

The springs also dictate how "jerky" the engine can be on lift off IIRC.

adroy 11 March 2003 01:05 PM

akshay67,

I also have a yellow one, which is 'Soft' aparently.

Thanks a lot for all the helpful info guys, most appreciated!!

Cheers,

Ali.

Ring Forge direct ...they were very helpful when I bought mine second hand and had a few ????s

Check their website for tel no

akshay67 15 March 2003 01:31 AM

is the yellow one softer than red and blue? (and therefore louder?)

may have to ask forge to send one over...hopefully for free as they never sent me one in the first...

Hi all,

Just got this through the post. It only seems to have the big valve, 3 springs 4 silver disk type things and a blanking plug.

Is this all that i need??? there's no instructions for it, any ideas are very very welcome!!

It's for a MY99.

It looks the same as 'C' in this link

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?cat=TUNDV&product=FMDVV5012

Please tell me this will fit!!!!!!!?????????

Cheers.

Ali.

springs go inside the piston (which u open with an allen key)

They basically give the dump valve a different sound.(u can only use 1 spring at a time ;) )

The DV in the pic u posted is definately for a 99 - as I have the same.

What colour are your springs? I only got a blue and red one so will be interested to know what this 3rd one is about - how does it rank in stiffness compared to the other two colours?
