Thats what people posting on how expensive it is dont understand there were 400 JDM ones and only 16 UK ones. The 35K one is a UK one ie 1/16 not a JDM one 1/400. i.e. much rarer. ;) ;)

All the other listed in this thread in comparison are JDM models at those prices ;).

Good chance that the UK ones had their warranty extended as well. If you buy as a subaru approved form a Subaru dealer it will have 1 years Subaru Uk warranty on it.

Also told recently that there are now less than 300 22Bs left worldwide

IMHO you will regret buying a 22b over your P1. Its a nice car but not worth the extra. If your insistant on buying, a good low milage jap would be a better buy than a Uk car as the warrantys have nearly run out on UK cars now. 22b prices are dropping and there are some good low milage examples around for considerably less than 30k, so why would anybody want to buy a UK car at 35k ? Keep the 6, 7, or 8k you save and buy yourself a run around as 22b's arent an everyday car.

Thats what i was going to say Dan :D That car looks mint

chrisp 28 February 2003 09:38 PM

The Type UK 22Bs command a higher price as there were only 16 and three other 000 plated ones, also have Subaru Uk backing for parts which can be a bit more difficult on JDM 22Bs

scooby_si 28 February 2003 09:51 PM

Marty which dealer is that then?
Si

Si

myp1 28 February 2003 11:02 PM

def the best looking impreza ever but u have to place it in the garage for fear of damaging it.have u seen the cost of spares for the body...thats if u can get them

Turkish1 01 March 2003 12:43 AM

Buy it, its hens teeth rare mate.

Rasher 01 March 2003 09:30 AM

yep if I had the money I would buy it, it's the ultimate:D

salsa-king 01 March 2003 09:40 AM

rare? yes... but how many uk300's are there?????

Phil

Rasher 01 March 2003 11:01 AM

300?????

scoobyroof 01 March 2003 11:19 AM

I know of a genuine 3000Miles!!!!!!! 22B £28500!!!!!! and another at 16,000 miles £22500!!!!!!!! so yours is mega expensive

S.B. 01 March 2003 11:20 AM

Are they uk ones?

Rasher 01 March 2003 02:53 PM

where is the one that has only done 3,000 miles is it for sale????????

logiclee 01 March 2003 04:00 PM

Marty,

Is the reg T***GKN ?

If so its DC911's old motor.

Lee

zip106 01 March 2003 05:17 PM

.....and the wheels cost about a GRAND EACH, if you can get them!;)

tomhanks 01 March 2003 05:22 PM

Thats a good point. From reading other posts i think a wing costs about 2 grand and a front bumper about 3 grand. Who in their right mind would want to pay these prices. What does a wing and a bumper off an ordinary impreza cost. I reckon about £150 and £300. Bit of a difference.

Rasher 01 March 2003 05:31 PM

true but exclusivity doesn't come cheap:D

jabbroni 01 March 2003 06:10 PM

DHorwitch that one is now mine no 49.The cost of uk cars is daft and only a handful of uk dealers can support them.I agree with the comment that these are extreme to live with but what the hell you are only here once.Had to spend alittle to get mine to the way i wnt it but it was a lot cheaper than 35K go for the JDM ones and save a fortune!!!!!!!!!

Rasher 01 March 2003 06:14 PM

forgive my ignorance but do the imports have a speed restrictor fitted limiting them to 112mph???

Rasher 01 March 2003 06:23 PM

isn't the gearing different too, the import is more strained at higher speeds???

oj 01 March 2003 06:26 PM

jabbroni - good luck to you, as you said, you are only here once....!! live and enjoy.... :) :)

Look after it, or else the heavies will be round to perform some minor adjustments on your exclusive anatomy.. Only joking, just jealous BUT ENJOY.. :) :)

OJ.......

jabbroni 01 March 2003 06:31 PM

I will look after her.Rasher yes prodrive changed the 5 th gear ration on the uk car 4000 rpm at 80 on mine drinks fuel but so bloody what i love it its stunning the ultimate impreza no doubt.

johnfelstead 01 March 2003 06:56 PM

the 22B Type UK had a diferent final drive ratio making them more suited to motorway cruising, the gearbox ratios are the same as a Japanese spec 22B.

The other main diference is in the damper/spring rates, which are slightly softer.

Both are superb cars.

Rasher 01 March 2003 06:59 PM

thanks guys :D
just hope that rollover has my name on it tonight!!!!!
