There was a thread many eons ago that mentioned some speaker cable so thin you could stick it to the wall, paint over it and it was virtually invisible. Anyone got any idea where to get some ? :)

Do you mean flat 'Selotape' stuff or hair fine stuff? I used the Selotape stuff and it seems to work well, A nightmare to unravel though as it coils up right away and is hard to get straight again.
got it from here http://www.beyondhifi.net/shopping/P....asp?CatID=161 |
It will sound crap IMO.

dont know if there still doing it but i got some ultra thin IXOS cable from dixons for £1 per metre never seen it this cheap anywhere:D
|
I have got some flat cable thats about 2.5mm high and 25 odd mm wide. I have run it under the carpet across the room and i cant see it now !!
It sounds fine. Dave |
Got some very flat stuff, about 1.2mm thick, 20mm wide. Sounds very good, but can't tell you the make, as it is buried ;)
|
I saw some ultra thin ribbon cable 10 core speaker wire a while back
100 quid a metre tho, but was made of silver, supposed to have been excellent quality, but I imagine it would have to be at that price you could fold this over, lay it under your carpet etc etc |
Rimo, thats the stuff I got, except mine was 30 quid not 60 for the same cable. Innovations markup strikes again?
|
Do you mean flatline speaker cable??
I have some. It is excellent quality & coated in Teflon to protect the wiring. http://www.nordost.com/products/flatline.html Darren |
I can supply this at £9.99 per metre if this is any interest.
Or £224.99 for a 25m drum/ £399.99 for a 50m drum |
|
RiMo - That looks like top stuff. I'll look around for some more agreeable prices.
Thanks Neil too for the link :) [Edited by DJ Dunk - 2/11/2003 9:26:08 AM] |
