While driving up the delights of the M1 earlier this week, I got a very small stone chip on the windscreen, right in my line of sight. The chip is about 1.5-2mm wide, but its annoying as fu£k, cos I keep seeing a black dot during the day.

Whats the crack (no pun...) with getting it replaced? Would the car fail an MOT in the current state?

Ring your local windscreen place and see if they can repair it for you

Auto Windscreens will repair it with resin.

Call them first.

I've got a few very small ones which look like specs of dirt. Annoying when you've just washed the car. Will they repair those under the windscreen charge on my insurance??
