Get some Toyos in

215/45/17 .. I've seen them for £50 each ;);)

Call me when you have them ready :)

RON 23 January 2003 07:22 PM

The biggest problem with that kind of purchase is then getting the tyres fitted, some places don't like fitting tyres that may be a bit 'tight' cos it's down to them if they bu66er them up.
Good idea though!

M0NEY 23 January 2003 07:24 PM

If you start, im sure you will get most of us buying from you.

The probably top two are 215/40/17 and 215/35/18.

With Toyo i think the Tyres are over £100 but i know dealers get them for about £70 and if you get in with someone at Toyo direct, you pick them up for £35!!!! Believe me this is true as i got talking to a guy with his own tuning company and was telling me how much he gets his tyres from Toyo! :D

Dave Thornton 23 January 2003 07:35 PM

To be successful, you would need to beat www.mytyres.net. I ordered 4 x Toyo Proxes T1-S on Monday at 66.20 each delivered and they arrived today.

LeonT 24 January 2003 02:22 AM

thanks guy 4 the info
keep it coming pleaseeeeeee!!!

LeonT 24 January 2003 11:16 AM

btt
thought there would have been more intrest in this

M0NEY 24 January 2003 01:30 PM

There will be alot of interest in it but people dont know how much you are going to charge. If you can get some prices together and post them up, im sure you will have interest.

Its hard to start off in the beginning mate. I get discount on loads of products and in the beginning i used to put it up that i could get discount on this and that etc but people didnt want to know till i gave them a price!

Jack-S 24 January 2003 01:52 PM

I bought Potenza S-03's from Micheldever last, I seem to remember about £80 a piece. Other than that I'd consider Goodyear Eagle F1's. My size was 205/50 16s.

You could always ring Micheldever as a pretend interested customer and ask for prices. They've always been the best price for me.

If your doing mail order, perhaps a list of recomended places that can fit them properly and cheaply would help. Best cost fitting into your prices.

ShAnNo_RB5 24 January 2003 06:25 PM

Can get Toyo T1S Proxes for £65.80 inc. VAT + delivery (www.mytyres.net).

Beat that and you've got my order...

Cheers,

Shanno

griffm 24 January 2003 06:43 PM

Prices are everything, people will buy quality rubber (same specification tyres) from the cheapest source and as stated above, fitting by a third party is a concern. :)

Yokohama A539 205/50 X 16 = £78

Izzy 25 January 2003 12:47 AM

My local (Essex) dealer does 205/40/17 Yokohama A539's at around £75 each inc vat & fitting. Not a bad tyre either.

dnb 25 January 2003 11:11 AM

I think that 16" and 17" will be the most common rim sizes.
I currently use 205/45/R17 but will change to 215/40/R17 depending on price at the next tyre change.

Have you considered trackday tyres as well? Just a thought...

If you can beat the prices of mytyres and micheldever (less a bit for fitting & balance ;)) then you'll have my custom and no doubt a few friends as well.

LeonT 27 January 2003 12:32 PM

thanks guys,
we are pretty sure wwe will be able to beat mrtyres and co,

this is only in the early stages, but we are working on getting some prices together asap

Got x4 from mytyres.net @ £141.40 each inc VAT & Delivery then got them fitted locally & tracking for £60 + a 24pack of Stella (cos they wouldn't do it otherwise as they were loosing out on all the profit etc.............)

FAO prodrive,

There is already some very very strong competition out there for tyres especially on the internet, blackcircles and mytyres to name but 2.

Mytyres were doing 215/45/17 Toyo Proxes the other day for 68 quid a corner which is as cheap as chips.

LeonT 01 February 2003 07:33 PM

Thanks guys, but because of the lack of the peeps on here then i think i might give it all a miss,

ill just supply myself just got some gsd3s 20 cheaper than Mytyres, yes per tyre
lol
lol
still never mind it was worth a try as i was only trying to help you guys out!!!!!!

M0NEY 02 February 2003 11:12 AM

LeonT, i need some new tyres soon. Help me out mate :D

MattW 02 February 2003 03:05 PM

LeonT

I'm after two RE040's to replace fronts(225\45\17), maybe considering Dunlop 9090 x4 or GSD3 x4.

If you can do we a good price I'll take em off you. travel through kiddy regularly.

Eagle7 02 February 2003 04:28 PM

dont forget to cater for the standard sizes too. MY00 standard 16" is 205/50/R16
