Are there any uprated ones available or am I better off fabricating my own? (STi is too damn expensive :( )

From MRT they're not too bad (when do you need them?). Maybe Powerflex do them now too?

not too soon.. just preparing myself... the rear diff allready trys to dent the underside of the car..

Ummm....I found the STi ones to be quite cheap?
Weird..and I'm WAY more northener than all of U. :D /J |
I thought they were about 400 each??
 David |

Some engine mounts here, don't know if they are any good. http://www.motorsportparts.co.uk/ Paul |
Graham Goode sell uprated ones. I havent seeen the engine mountings, but I have seen the uprated gearbox mounting, and it is substantially stronger than the standard item. I dont think it was that expensive? It may be the MRT items, but it will be about 50 times quicker buying from GGR than it will from MRT.
Take a look at their website, as it gives pretty good coverage of all mountings/bushes available, including rear beam/diff mountings. The rear beam does seem to be slightly different for a legacy tho around the diff mounting. Nest to check what you need, and measure before buying [Edited by ustolemyname??stevieturbo - 1/13/2003 8:23:02 PM] |
David, it's the Prodrive mounts that are £4-500 a pair.
Otherwise the Sti ones are more like £60 IIRC. Paul |
Paul that makes more sense...
Might see if I can make some thing for the diff when I take it off.. David |
Just fitted the gearbox mount to mine - noticeable difference. Engine mounts will have to wait...looks a harder job :)

Richard.... wont be long before you have the engine out though :D

Engine mounts weren't too bad...more fiddly than difficult.
A lift is almost a must. And an extra jack for the engine. /J |
