As a dealer option on my new WRX I had a boost guage fitted which is calibrated in MPa, can anyone shed anylight on this and how it relates to PSI/Bar ?

I think (actually guess cos Physics was a long time ago :) ) that MPa stands for Mega Pascals and relates in the following way

1 bar = 0.1 MPa

1 PSI = 006895 MPa

Strange way to measure boost.

Thanks, now MPa makes more sense.

What models/boost levels are people running for comparison ?

My MY00 has a full decat exhaust, Tek2 (Tek3 ish) and STi intercooler.....

Runs about 17 PSI...

I have the delta dash software coming to confirm my boost across the RPM range.

My UK STi runs 17 psi peak stabilising at 16 psi (Thanks for the conversion help!).
