Just trying to help John S guage numbers who are interested in attending an evening get together next Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Forum is.........couple of drinks and possibly a meal (hence numbers required!) Who's up for it? (Maybe a quick run after if the weather/light is good enough!:D:D:D:D)

Anyone with any ideas on places to meet feel free to post as my local is a bit on the small side!:)

C'mon, the more the merrier!:

Russell

ps I'm not organising it, just trying to help John get a rough idea of numbers going!

foz01 27 June 2002 08:52 AM

Cant as werkin in Inverness at the mo but would be up for a weekend one :)

JohnS 27 June 2002 11:56 AM

OK then,

why don't we just pick a pub/inn with a reasonable sized car park, with reasonable access for everyone and take it from there.

How does Wednesday evening sound, 7:30pm.

Suggestions for a venue ?

We've had a few good lunches at the Cove Bay Hotel, but the Mill of Mundurno at the Bridge of Don has quite a big car park and is easy to find. There's also the Old Mill Inn at Peterculter, and a place that Mac mentioned to me the other day which is very central (waiting to hear if that's a go-er).

Any others ?

John

wightey 27 June 2002 12:28 PM

i will try to make it, not sure if i have to go to edinburgh.
peterculter would be good even for the run although if we go to bridge of don...we can go to the beach afterwards lol

Infinity 27 June 2002 12:39 PM

Sounds good to me :)

Next Wednesday should not be a problem.

Wuz, sorry for not sending you a mail. Got a lot on my plate at the moment.

Look forward to meeting the Aberdeen Scoobs.

Ricco, were you down the beach the other friday? If not whos got a Cat with Huge spoiler and gold rims? If it was you, I was the DBM with the 18s.

OK then, due to popular request, we'll make it at the Old Mill Inn at Peterculter. Should be reasonable central for everyone, wheterh they are coming from the city, north, west or south.

7:30pm (ish) OK for everyone ?

John

Infinity 27 June 2002 01:05 PM

Count me in for this one :D

7:30ish, glad you put that bit in, my girlfriend says I will be late for my own funeral :D

Heres a stupid question, Fars the Old Mill Inn? I know where the Ploughman is, and the cop shop :D, but not the old mill.

A map would be great, mind you it has to be easy to read :D

See you all there Martin.

Miles 27 June 2002 01:39 PM

Well, technically the Old Mill Inn is in Maryculter :D

Have a good one, I'll be in Italy next week. Missed Knockhill last week when in Nigeria, for the week home nothing happens and then away again and there's a meet! http://www.spao.de/pict/smilies/sniff.gif

WUZ 27 June 2002 01:41 PM

Anyone else? - C'mon people, you are always asking to meet up and new its being done and only a handful of replies so far!

We can do better than this:D

Infinity - No problem M8 I'll see you on Wed:p

Russell

JohnS 27 June 2002 02:16 PM

I'm sure we will do better, once word gets around :D

I'll also e-mail a few people as well to see if they are interested.

John

foz01 27 June 2002 03:11 PM

If you are having trouble geting numbers you could always postpone it till the sat ;D

mike16v 27 June 2002 03:19 PM

I take it you can manage the weekend Foz???

I don't think I can make the Wed either - a busy week at work next week... so probably 9pm finishes... pretty annoying!

I'll know by the beg of next week whether or not I can make it along (providing a Golf is welcome!)

Mike

wightey 27 June 2002 03:24 PM

toby69 27 June 2002 09:25 PM

I'm going to try and make this one. Got a new job recently and based at the Bridge of Don so the Aberdeen meets shouldn't be a problem now :)

JohnS 28 June 2002 10:33 AM

Excellent :D

doug_seiv 28 June 2002 11:10 PM

Is it just a meet of owners or would the girlfriend be welcome to tag along to the meet??

WUZ 29 June 2002 12:06 AM

Doug,
All and sundry are welcome - if they can handle a bunch of testosterone and Optimax fuelled petrolheads talking about cars, etc

ScoobyLoobyLou will obviously relish being in this situation though:D:D:D:D:D:D:

Even my other half may come along to try to group with the other partners and put a stop to this modifying lark:p:p:p:p

See y'all there!

Russell

sasim 29 June 2002 12:29 AM
