All of a sudden we have an outbreak of Scoobies around here :), so was discussing this with ChrisP the other night, so how about a evening meet?
Pub with a decent size car park so we can have our own corner, drinkies and maybe a snack if you are hungry. How about one night 2nd week of July somewhere in the Stoke area? I say Stoke as a rough guide, but 15 miles from here covers Congleton, Leek, Crewe, Stafford etc so plenty of locations. |
Chris,
Sounds like a great idea, we are from Staffs, but only just. The wilderness of Cannock :D, can we come please. Steve  |
Yup - will defoe be up for that.
Leek could be good as there are some good roads up there to. Oh and it's near me too ! ;) |
sounds great well up 4 that

Yep we need a good location that easy to get to from the north and south. I have a couple in mind and one allows kids/wackyware house jobby last time I was in, if anyone is bringing kids. If anyone has a good pub in mind then shout :D.
Criteria : 1) Must be easy to find so people dont get lost ;) 2) Big car park is a must really 3) Serve meals/snack (no so important but nice) 4) Must be petrolhead tolerant :D 5) Kids friendly so people can drag the missus and sprogs out Might try and get this a regular thing depending on how popular they are. Someone is bound ask what happens on a meet. Its just a get together to chat about life, the world and scoobs :D. Any other marques are welcome, skylines, evos, lambos, ferrari, fiestas ;), we'll just play it by ear for the first one and see how it goes. Hopefully try and get something sorted in next couple of weeks. Just to add maybe good to move it around the region each time to allow people long and short distances to travel just to be fair to everyone. Cheers ChrisP [Edited by chrisp - 6/25/2002 8:50:36 PM] |
should be up for it!
|
I think the pub next to me should be used ;)
Seriously though, I am up for this :D |
Let's see Little Miss ;)
1) Perhaps not if you haven't been there before :( 2) Definately not :( 3) On the right nite :) 4) They put with the locals, so we will be ok :) 5) Not really :( Hopefully going to get Insbro along with his Evo as well (very nice motor :) ) |
Count me in as well

At the moment my number one is the Darlaston Inn on the A34 between Trentham and Stone (the one in centre of the roundabout). It has a wacky warehouse for the kids, serves meals and has a big car park. Really easy to find and in between Junctions 15 and 16 of the M6.
Dont know what other people think ? |
Good starting point for the 1st meet. Fairly central for everyone I reckon.
I'll suggest a date - Wednesday 10th July. How's that sound? |
Sounds good! (place & time)

http://www.thespiritgroup.com/publoc...&pc=ST15%200PX If you click the map it shows the circle just below the big roundabout. The map isnt quite right the pub is actually in the centre of the roundabout and access is off the roundabout BUT only when going North ie. from Stone towards Trentham. The only downside is the A34 is plagued with speed cameras in both directions so becareful guys. [Edited by chrisp - 6/26/2002 5:55:09 PM] [Edited by chrisp - 6/26/2002 5:58:28 PM] |
Will let you know if I can attend, I still have no transport so I may have to bow out of this one. It all depends on whether I am back at work too.
|
sounds good to us :D, it's not too far from Cannock, both me and Jill will be up for it, the only problem is my daughter wants to come, not for the Wacky Warehouse, but to bring her Mini Cooper  (classic not BMW).
cheers Steve  |
