I have been into Scoobs for about 6 years now and a friend (Dales on here) bought one last year, and then told me about the BBS.

Was searching for Impreza stuff and came across the the IWOC and joined its mailing list. Also found the v.useful SIDC faq. There was so much talk of Scoobynet I thought I'd better come over and have a look. I have been here in various guises ever since! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Easytrack airfield day last summer - people talking about it - searched for it on the net and found a link somewhere - not sure where.

I asked on the RSOC bbs and a certain Mr Rainbird was kind enough to point me in this direction.

I think it was a link from the SIDC site when I was looking into buying a Scooby.

Twas a link from the Easytrack web site last year. I gate-crashed the Scoobynet Airfield day in my Puma as I fancied buying a Scoob. One year on and It's on order and the Puma's gone. God I'm bored driving a Punto round at the momment!

Found it or rather got directed this way by Mossman (ala Jon Moss) way back when in May/June 1999. Been here ever since and met many new friends.

I "discovered" the UBB system on another web-site, and recommended to Phil (SIDC webmaster at the time) that it could be a useful addition to the website. Next day I got an e-mail saying that the software had been purchased, installed, and would be available later that night, and did some beta testing before it was generally known to the public. I think I was the third "member" to sign up, after webmaster, and one other person.

It somehow doesn't seem that long ago!

When I ordered my Impreza, I thought it might be nice to know all about it, so I searched (Google) for Subaru Impreza. One site that came up was the SIDC, which had a link to this bbs.

Very interesting, the different ways we found this site. I am glad I found it. I look forward to jumping on here, reading all the different posts. One of the main things I get out of the bbs is, I learn, from peoples' knowledge and experience. I also like to contribute when I can and do so when I think I can help. I also ask questions obviously. There is also a bit of humor about too. It has happy topics and sometimes sad. Some cause a bit of friction.
