Secondary air pump delete cost

Hi, how much roughly does it cost to have the secondary air pump removed and all blanked off on a hatch sti?
Thanks

you can call any dealer and know their cost ! its different

I don't think the dealer would do it mate. You would need someone to turn it off on the ecu side or it will keep throwing up a code.

Try and find a specialist who will do it without insisting on the engine being lifted.
Or do a load of engine out jobs at same time.

I’ve spoken to Enginetuner who can map it out without removing it apparently to save on labour and effort of removing and blanking off.
they did say they can remove and blank and hopefully would only take 2-3hrs labour.

bite their hand off. When they did mine Alan told me the engine needed to be out.

When a mate done mine a few years back on my hawk he cut a spanner in half to get him access to the valve bolts in turbo side of the heads....it was still very tight but doable.

Map tweak is simply removing the fault codes from the list once removed

Mapping it out with still in place you simply set the runtime to 0, it's a single parameter value

Having it out clears the engine bay a bit as the pump and the valves are fair enough size

I then sold my secondary air pump then on ebay for 125 at the time

When mine failed on the hatch it was actually a split in the rubber Y pipe we found, between the two valves so worth checking if it's something as simple as that

i paid £120 i think to have mine removed by neil case at slowboy racing. hes very good at what he does.
