R160 4.44 Used in Forester?

I'm finding it difficult to locate one of these but have noticed the R160 is used in the Forester and wonder if anyone has worked out if Forester uses a 4.44 version as might be easier and probably Forester bits are not so expensive

They do, but not in Europe. (1.081 drop down transfer gears and a 4.111 rear diff)

seem to recall the Turbo S JDM Foz auto's used a 4.44 diff set-up??

Thanks, I'll keep looking. I think they use a 4.44 up front and with different drop down gears a 4.11 at the back as previously mentioned..

JDM cars up to around 2007 use a 1to1 straight drop gear.........

UK cars have pretty much used the 1.1 to 1 drop to reduce the rear axle speed

what exactly are you trying to do as R160 (or R180) only applies to the rear set-up albeit with slight variances in drive shaft fitment over the years
