Green cotton panel filters
Anybody had experience with green cotton panel filters ?. Car is a 2008 hatch

I believe these are oiled filter's, which are no good for an impreza engine, unless your running maffless as will only cause issues with the maf over time.

OVER oiled filters can cause an issue but in general (apart from the poor 99/00 MAF's) then as long as they are not drenched in oil there is no issue with Green or the original K&N style and have used for years.........

I think I went for one made by pipercross for Subaru Pro R.

Been running a Green filter in my 99 UK Turbo for the last 9 years, no problems so far.

I've seen them about aswell still forsale.

I've run oiled K&N and green cotton with no problems, currently got a dry flow AEM. The only filter that I wouldn't use again is a Cosworth; after 2k miles there was visible dust behind it, and it had been clipped in all proper. They breathe too well and I know a renowned engine builder who confirmed this.
